Mayra Cushion, Sienna
W46cm x L46cm
Handwoven in Peru
Handwoven in the breath-taking hills of the Sacred Valley, our Peruvian cushions are carefully crafted on traditional back strap looms by skilled local artisans. Made from soft, pure sheep’s wool, the natural yarn is hand spun, dyed and intricately woven into distinctive patterns that reflect the area’s rich Incan heritage. Each cushion is completely unique and comes with a soft, duck feather insert. Pair with our Killay throw for an eclectic modern look.
The weaving process, steeped with tradition, is an integral part of Quechuan culture passed down through the generations. Following fair-trade principles, the Pacha collection helps to keep that heritage alive, preserving traditional techniques and providing employment opportunities to local craftspeople. Naturally dyed from regional plants, herbs and botanicals, each piece is carefully sourced directly from the communities where they were made.
Sheep’s wool is naturally self-cleaning. Air outside to refresh your cushion and spot clean spillages with warm water and a mild wool detergent to avoid discolouration. Professionally clean if required.
PLEASE NOTE: Our Naida cushion has a plain reverse with a zip closure
