Handmade by master quilt makers in Gujarat, our luxurious Chindi cushion covers are meticulously crafted from carefully placed patchwork fabrics hand embroidered with tiny rows of traditional kantha stitches. No two cushions are the same. The design features a black, grey and ecru patchwork on the reverse with a concealed zip enclosure.

Working with marginalised communities in India and Nepal, Stitch By Stitch support artisans in traditional crafts to continue their art using sustainable production techniques in harmony with local ecology. Handwoven from unbleached, organic, rain-fed kala cotton, these Patchwork Kantha cushion covers are ethically produced by home-based workers. Kala cotton is a genetically pure, drought resistant, Old World cotton indigenous to Kachchh. Free from pesticides and synthetic fertilisers, the crop is fed solely by rainwater, minimising the environmental impact of production.
