Originating in Japan in the 18th century, the traditional technique of shou sugi ban (焼杉板) - which involves charring a wood surface to render it a deep charcoal-black - was developed as a method to treat and weatherproof cedar siding. This beautiful finish has been applied to our wall mountable wine racks which hold up to 10 bottles and add an aged finesse to your collection.

Produced in small batches from a home studio in Sussex, these carefully crafted wine racks can be custom made to your preferred dimensions and bottle capacity or personally engraved. Please email us for bespoke orders
